Founder & President

A Broadway industry leader with over 30 years of experience in producing, marketing, casting, booking, and touring, Betsy has worked on some of the most iconic shows in Broadway history, including CHICAGO and WICKED.  

She currently operates bd productions, a company that focuses on producing and investing in live theatrical productions. Betsy raises capital for and manages two funds that have invested in commercial projects with total capitalizations of over $100 million.  She is a Tony-award-winning producer for THE OUTSIDERS as well as a producer on the upcoming show, THE MIDLIFE MONOLOGUES. Past producing credits include THE NOTEBOOK (Broadway), THE WHO’S TOMMY (Broadway), JAGGED LITTLE PILL (Broadway), DIANA (Broadway), WAITRESS (Broadway), and SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS (Off-Broadway).

Betsy is also a sought-after marketing consultant and advisor. She has overseen strategy and integration of annual multi-million-dollar marketing budgets. Clients have included Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Touring shows: MRS. DOUBTFIRE, SIX, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, WICKED, ANNIE, PENN & TELLER, STOMP, IF/THEN, OLEANNA, DON’T QUIT YOUR NIGHT JOB; as well as restaurants, retail establishments, and others in entertainment, lifestyle, and education categories.  

Prior to starting her own marketing and production companies in 2000, Betsy was the Director of Casting and Creative Development at National Artists Management Company (1996-1999), where she oversaw the casting and development of Broadway shows, including CHICAGO, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, and GREASE. As the Director of Programming at Pace Theatrical Group, currently known as The John Gore Organization (1994-1996), Betsy was responsible for programming all Broadway Show Series engagements in over 25 markets nationwide, and as the Director of the National Touring Theatre Council at The Broadway League (1992-1994), she developed marketing concepts, promotions, and events for industry leaders from around the country.

Betsy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (1990) and currently serves on the Penn Live Arts Director’s Advisory Council. She is a Tony voter and member of the Broadway League.
